We removed everything, sanitized the decking, air sealed every penetration we could find, and blew in fresh Owens Corning insulation to R-38. The upstairs now holds temperature within a few degrees of the rest of the house, and the AC doesn’t run all afternoon.
Crawl Space Encapsulation in Northeast Anaheim
This house near the 91 had that musty smell that creeps up through the floor every time the temperature shifts. The crawl space was exposed dirt with standing moisture against the foundation and early signs of mold on the joists. We installed a full vapor barrier system, sealed the vents, taped every seam, and added a dehumidifier. The smell was gone within a week, and the wood floors stopped cupping.

Dust was settling on every surface in this older Colony home within two days of cleaning, and the furnace kicked on far more often than it should in winter. We found large gaps around recessed lights, vent pipes, and interior wall top plates, all pulling conditioned air straight into the attic. After sealing everything with foam and caulk, we blew Johns Manville insulation to R-49 across the entire attic. The dust problem disappeared, and their gas bill dropped noticeably the first winter.
Wall Insulation for a 1950s Stucco Home in Southwest Anaheim
A lot of Anaheim homes built in the 1950s and early 1960s have no wall insulation at all, just empty stud bays behind the stucco. This homeowner felt heat radiating through the walls every afternoon, especially on the west side. After verifying the cavities were empty, we drilled and dense-packed GreenFiber cellulose into every exterior wall, then patched to match. The difference was immediate, and rooms that used to feel 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the house now stay even.
